MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference Sold Out with Record Number of Participants
Boston Celtics All-Star guard Ray Allen and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban to speak
Third Annual MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference
CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--The Third Annual MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference being held on March 7 has been sold out. Now in its third year, the conference will bring together executives from major U.S. professional leagues, academics, researchers and MBA students to discuss evolving analytic trends in sports management. Ray Allen, Boston Celtics All-Star guard and Mark Cuban, Dallas Mavericks owner, are among the slated speakers.
"We are thrilled that the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference has once again sold out with a record 400+ participants," says conference co-chair Daryl Morey, general manager of the Houston Rockets and an MIT Sloan alumnus. "With the conference unfolding against the backdrop of the economic crisis, we thought there might be an impact, but the demand for learning about the trend of analytics in sports continues to grow at record pace. We would like to thank MIT, the Sloan School of Management, and our sponsors, which include the Parthenon Group, Adidas, Sparq, yoonew and ESPN, for making the conference possible."
